St. Joseph’s School, Bhilaipahari, a Catholic Minority institution, is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Jamshedpur and administered by the Governing Body of Jamshedpur Diocesan Education Society. JDES is a registered Society under the Societies Registration Act 21, 1860 of Jharkhand. Its registration number is 529/2006-2007. As a Catholic School, it has its inspiration from the well-run and well-managed Catholic Schools in the country. The School administration aims at students’ all-round growth and at ensuring, they become men and women for others, especially for the marginalized and underprivileged.
St. Joseph’s School was founded by Fr. George Mannarakam, the Founder/Director of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bhilaipahari, in the year 2009. The responsibility for the day to-day running of the School rests on the Principal. The School has a Managing Committee to help and guide the Principal in the overall growth and development of the School and in the academic/general welfare of the students.
Read MoreIt’s hard to be a bright light in a dim world. In a world of chaos and uncertainties to be a ray of hope to brighten the path for others to tread is indeed a blessing in itself.
St. Joseph’s School at Jordih village, Bhilaipahari is working extensively hard to show the real path of light to the future citizens of not only Jharkhand but India as a whole. It is very necessary and must in the present day circumstances.
Each individual has a dream to be achieved and we need to dream always bigger and higher. We cultivate in our students to dream the impossible and achieve it with hard work and dedication. We are here in this rural area of Jamshedpur to spread the joy of life and to remain a ray of hope to many, especially to the underprivileged in the society.
I earnestly urge our students, teachers and the parents to strive hard and practice the motto Love, care and service.
May God bless us and all our endeavours.

“EDUCATION IS THE MOVEMENT FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT” - ALLAN BLOOM
I am extremely glad to be part of St. Joseph’s School, Bhilaipahari, which is on the continual process of moulding the young minds to become active and responsible citizens for tomorrow’s India by keeping up the aim and motto of the school, especially being aware of the complex and changing world. Apart from the formal education, our institution focuses on various aspects like character formation, imbibing good virtues and developing the self-confidence to face the upcoming challenges
Thus, according to Ravindranath Tagore, “Education is highest which not only imparts information and knowledge to us but also promotes love and fellow feeling between us and other living beings of the world.
I wish best of luck to our students, teachers and the parents of our institution. May God bless St. Joseph’s School.
